What?
We make electronic content happen. Our particular passion is educational materials - in the widest sense of education, from curriculum-based animated activities for five year olds, to video-led, open-ended learning tools for adults.
We develop websites and DVD/CD-ROMs, make films, help start and build businesses and services, and get involved in strategic and operational consultancy.
We thrive on the complex and the challenging.
We have worked with and for a wide range of the biggest names in content, including the BBC, Collins Education, Edexcel, Learning and Teaching Scotland, the National Assessment Agency, Rising Stars and more. Some examples:
- For BBC jam, the BBC's ill-fated online learning service, we worked with joint venture partners Tinopolis Interactive to imagine, plan and deliver:
- an online sound-world designed to help completely blind learners read and write in Braille, hosted and co-created by Benjamin Zephaniah and containing a wide range of specially-commissioned work from contemporary poets such as Lemn Sissay and Ian Macmillan.
- an RE resource for 14-16 year olds which was to feature 80 specially shot video stories from all over the world to stimulate them into asking "How do I make the most of my life?" - and create and share responses of their own, online.
- We work closely with Rising Stars UK to develop the majority of their electronic publishing, including the Download, Achieve Whiteboard and Mind's Eye series.
- We developed our BAFTA-nominated online service for primary schools, Spark Island. Spark Island has recently been licensed to Learning and Teaching Scotland's Glow
Intranet, through which it is being made available to every school and pupil in Scotland.
Its characters and worlds have been used in products we worked on with BBC Worldwide and Collins Education.
